As a child I lived and worked with my grandmother in her garden and developed a love for agrarian things. My garden is a cottage garden and I prefer the community garden concept. I grow a variety of plants; even have an herb section that blends well with the flowering plants, as well as native plants. I prefer a massing effect for color, texture and shape. This is a year 'round garden. It begins blooming in the spring and continues through fall. It is always beautiful with blooms from beginning to end. In winter its outline is formal with yuccas protruding through the snow.
