Welcome To The Brown's Western Caribbean Cruise

June 18, 1995, we were picked up at home at 5:00am, by a limousine. We all were very excited, since this was our first ever cruise vacation! Linda and Stephen were especially apprehensive about the plane ride, since it was a first for both of them to ride in a jet.

We arrived in Miami before lunch. The people from Carnival Cruise Lines directed us to the buses. We stepped on board the MS Sensation approximately 1:00pm. WOW, what a ship!!! If you have never cruised before, you MUST experience this.

We were on the Sensation for seven days and nights.

Our Ports of Call Were
  • Playa Del Carmen
  • Cozumel
  • Grand Cayman
  • Jamaica

Here is a photo of us at Tulum, near the Playa Del Carmen port. The Myan Ruins at Tulum were fascinating. The view to the Caribbean Sea was picture perfect. We enlarged a copy and it hangs in our living room as a reminder of what it was like.

The next port of call was Georgetown, GrandCaymen. We went snorkling for the first time and we went to seven mile beach. Here is an actual photo that we took with a Kodak under water camera.

The last port of call was Jamaica mahn. Yes, I purposely mis-spelled man. In Jamaica, you say "ya mahn, no problem". Here is a photo of us standing near the stern of the ship.

We had a GREAT time at all ports. We wish we would have had more time at each one. There are so many activities on the ship going all the time. We want to take another cruise in 1998 for our twenty year anniversary, traveling on Carnival Cruise Lines again. There is never a dull moment on board. The food was excellent. The entertainment was great. The ship is very clean and spacious. My only regret is that I didn't get by with four hours of sleep. I think somebody sped up the clock once we boarded. Here are some more photos, one of the Grand Atrium which is seven levels.

The fun even carries over into the dining room. The waiters sing for birthdays, anniversaries, and honeymoons. Here is a photo of our dining room.

To give you an idea of what to do: work out room, sauna, out door track, volleyball, swimming, hot tubs, table tennis, skeet shooting, game room, casino gambling, library, duty free shopping, tours on ship, various lounges, shows on the main stage, plus all the activities and tours on shore. This is only a small list of ideas and activities. The Caribbean is very beautiful! The water is so clear and blue, you can stare at the waves and water for hours.

You can email me your comments about my web page or your cruise vacation. I will try to respond when time allows. I hope you enjoyed this web page. Maybe I'll, "see you at the deck party"!
